Arranging a Funeral

Arranging a funeral can be a distressing time. To make this process easier for families of the deceased, our caring team of professional Funeral Directors are here to offer guidance and support throughout this trying time. We approach the funeral planning stage with dignity and discretion while aiming to make the entire process as efficient and stress-free as possible for everyone involved.

The first step is a funeral planning consultation

Once we have received the certificate for burial or cremation we will work with you to arrange a date for the funeral and plan all the necessary funeral arrangements. The first step involves us organising a funeral planning consultation with family members. Families have the option to have this meeting here at our funeral home or in the comfort of their own home.

During the consultation, we will explain all the different aspects involved in arranging the funeral. We will cover factors including:

  • Type of funeral; burial, cremation or green
  • Whether or not the family would like the use of the private chapel for family viewings
  • Agree on the style and design of coffin or casket
  • Arrange transport to the funeral service and choose the funeral cars
  • Finalise the funeral procession route
  • Agree on music for the service
  • Confirm funeral flower choices
  • Arrange funeral service sheets
  • Choose a book of remembrance if required
  • Organise obituaries
  • Discuss the options for memorials and headstones
  • Funeral fees if the costs are not covered by a pre-paid funeral plan
